Tungnath Shiva Temple: Located at the height of 3680 m above ocean level, Tungnath is the most elevated sanctuary on the planet. Chopta is the best beginning point for a trek up the mountain to this old sanctuary (distance: 3 km).

Gopeshwar: It is a beautiful spot in the base camp of Chamoli, situated at a height of 1300 m above ocean level. It is notable for its fresh, peaceful climate and the sanctuary of Lord Shiva, Gopinath Mandir.

Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary: This area on Chopta-Gopeshwar road is popular for breeding musk deers. The haven covers a territory of 5 sqkm and is a perfect spot to appreciate uncommon Himalayan wildlife, woodlands and fragrant blooms.

Deoria Tal Lake: Situated in the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary at a height of 2438 m, this lake is popular for its completely clear water and spectacular views.
